Public Speaking

I’ve never given a speech before. I’ve been trying to write this thing for the last three days now.

I can barely maintain a blog — and yet I’m expected to write a speech? That I have to read out? To people. Lots of people.

Panic Attacks are a lot easier to handle if you write down exactly what is stressing you out, share it and then, have the Panic Attack anyway.

So, Mum and Stepdad are getting married in just over two weeks. And your’s truly has to give her away; as I’m the eldest child. Apparently, one of my “duties” is to give a speech at the end of the meal! I’ve been told I can’t proxy it either. Drat.

I’ve got quite a lot of it written already. But, I’m facing the whole “It took me an hour to write, I thought it might take an hour to read” problem.

I think I might just go hyperventilate in to a paper bag some more.
